APTN Interview while at 2026 CLC National Convention

While in Winnipeg, I approached APTN about doing an interview about postal cuts and their effects on Indigenous communities in Canada.  They were good enough to do so.  My thanks to Keira for taking time out of a busy day to hear our concerns.

50 Years of CUPW History on video. (5 parts)

Part 1 - The Struggle Begins

From the very beginnings of the Postal Service, the wealthy and the government were united in denying basic rights to postal workers.

Part 2 - Expanding our Power

AFter 1965 CUPW became a force for workers and supported workers globally.

Part 3 - Becoming Socially Aware

A look at the transition from a simple labour union to a human rights powerhouse.  All of us deserve respect and dignity.

Part 4 - Two unions unite. Stronger. Together.

The amalgamation of LCUC (letter carriers) and CUPW (clerks) is complete.  The assault on corporation post offices and the sell-off to franchisees is underway.  RSMCs are brought into the fold.

Part 5 - Fighting automation; government attacks.

Through the Mulroney era to present, postal workers have fight and grit and refuse to succumb to the wishes of big business and government cuts.
